Maria Walsh MEP is hiring an office administrator to work with her and her team in the European Parliament in Brussels.
The duration of the contract is linked to the duration of the current mandate of MEP Walsh. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated and highly professional. This is an entry-level position, suitable for candidates who have recently graduated.

Position: Office Administrator (entry level)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Inbox & Calendar Management
- Calendar and inbox management for MEP Walsh & team.
2. Travel Arrangements
- Coordinate travel arrangements for MEP Walsh.
3. Constituency & Committee Support
- Respond to constituency requests when required.
- Liaise with team members in the constituency regarding meeting requests.
- Support the team by researching events/meetings that fall into team priorities.
4. Budget Support
- Input mileage to EP Services.
- Liaise between the Travel Agency and Parliament on budgetary matters.
- Submit reimbursement requests.
5. Event and Meeting Support
- Support team members in hosting events and meetings i.e. bringing people into the
- Parliament as directed, creating placecards, book catering, photography etc.
- Prepare briefings and support materials for events and meetings.
6. Communication Support
- Complete the bi-monthly newsletter as directed by your Line Manager.
- Capture social media content as directed and appropriate for MEP Walsh.
7. Office
- Responsible for the management of the office environment.
- Ensure full stock of office supplies and complete orders when needed.
- Other such related duties may be assigned.
8. Skills and Requirements
- Willingness to work with members of the public (constituents and groups) seeking assistance (via email and phone calls).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a political environment.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail, be extremely organised, and maintain absolute discretion.
- Hold an interest in politics and desire to play an integral role in the 2029 re-election campaign.
9. Desirable Experience
- Experience working with people.
- Fluent English speaker.
- Administrative experience is desirable but not essential.
